The Massachusetts Attorney General's Office has provided "Answers To Common Legal Questions Of Domestic Violence" to help make people aware of what domestic violence is about and attempts to answer some common questions about it.
In the United States, domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women between the ages of 15 and 44, more than car accidents, muggings and rapes combined.

In homes where domestic violence occurs, children are abused at a rate 1,500 percent higher than the national average.
